A group where IGs and their people can meet, play, and have fun in the city! Because of the unique temperament, body language, and play style of the Italian Greyhound, this group is for pure-bred dogs only.

The Chicago Italian Language Meetup is a diverse and friendly group of people who meet to converse in Italian. Most speak the language at an intermediate or advanced level, and there are even some native speakers.  Beginners are welcome as long as they understand that the group's goal for meetings is to talk only in Italian.

We meet monthly to speak Italian, trade Italian restaurant names and ideas for Italian vacations. We eat Italian food, drink Italian wine and spend an enjoyable evening with old friends and new.

Twice monthly on Wednesdays join us for Mercoledi Italiano! With each event we celebrate everything Italian. Use this opportunity to mingle amongst friends, speak Italian, learn to speak Italian and of course, learn about and enjoy great Italian wines and food. And aside from the convivial atmosphere we will be featuring entertainment and/or educational talks. Call for reservations.

I have traveled to Italy at least once and sometimes twice a year for the last 12 years. I always start in Rome since for the most part it's the most direct route from America.
